Jamie
Jamie trained for 16 years in tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, and hip-hop with Legein Dance Academy. Her senior year of high school, she won a scholarship to Dean College through a dance competition. Attending Dean is where her love for tap really stood out. She auditioned for the Boston Tap Company and started performing with them during her time at Dean (2011-2014). While continuing her dance education, she was on the dance team and part of the faculty run dance company. After obtaining her associates degree in dance performance, Jamie transferred to USF in Tampa Florida where she continued to take dance classes, choreograph and perform despite going to school for psychology. Upon her return to RI in 2016, she started teaching at local studios and quickly became known for her tap, and overall dance, background. She has been a master teacher and guest choreographer at many studios across MA and RI. Jamie has also won many choreography and technical awards for her pieces in competition over the years and is looking forward to starting a new program alongside Nic.
